After 15 years I'm rereading John Irving's wonderful novel Until I Find You. On-deck is A Prayer For Owen Meany, also by Irving (and also a reread). In-the-hole is Docherty (by William McIlvanney) — the first in a three-book prequel to his Laidlaw series.
Have been reading "The little prince" to my granddaughter. Every parent or adult for that matter should read it, really well written.
I'm steadily working through Ken Follet, Pillars of the Earth is my all time favourite.
I also love James Michiner but he's heavy going for the first 50 pages or so generally

Unless it is a technical/user manual book I don't read books twice.
If the author didn't get their point across the first time they didn't do their job.
I guess it’s hard to tell who wrote the Bible, but the creator didn’t, it was wrote by man, but an interesting read the first time, but never again, just once in a while I reference something in it just to clarify.
Myself I’m working my way thru the Hobbit series of books, wanted to see how close all the Lord f the Ring movies were
It IS a technical/user manual book. And as to who "wrote" it, what Christians believe is that the ink was put on paper by several men but it was divinely inspired. So it was not technically written by the creator but it is the words of the creator.Quote:
