I'm gonna post some pics in a minute, maybe some can answer my question,,,
............
Here is my AC drain pipe he put in,,, it started leaking before he left the parking lot,,, he came back & put what appeared to be rubber cement on the U-shape bottom connection. But it was still wet around the seams today,,, so I put more rubber cement around it tonight.
My question to anyone, cause I can't ask him, we don't speak the same language,, as, "Why did he put a U-shape joint at the bottom(see the arrow) and not just a simple elbow joint that leads straight into the wall(drain exit)? This U-shaped thing will always have some water sitting in it.
Is this a secret plumber technique I'm looking at?
Thanks for any help.

What does it drain into
Wow! Looky at all the copper solder joints! Teflon tape-R-Us!
Would his name be Rube? I know him!:D
Do you have city sewer or a septic system
city sewer
The only thing I can come up with is he's using it like a pee trap under your sink, keeping any oder from coming back into your house.
But he must not have glued it properly, thats why its leaking.
The rubber glue is just a damn patch.
Just my observation,,,,,,,
