Germany played very well. Our team seams like a bunch of amateurs, I don't blame the referee.

Argh! Jose Altidore -- hamstring.
Wow we looked really good tonight. Go USA
"They found a way!" --Lalas
1st time a USA sub has scored in the team's history. Loved the decision to go for it in the last 15.
I've never seen so many injuries. USA can grind. That's for sure. This experience should be propelling and uniting. Not the best by any means, but they got it done.
That's unfortunate for him, but may actually be good for your team. He's one of those weird strikers who never, ever seems to score. At least for his club side - maybe things are different for him on the national team?
I had to come and go while watching so I didn't see the whole match, but it looked like another pretty good one. Congrats to the USA on sticking with it to the end. It was looking ominous for a while there until that second goal.
Shame to see Ghana lose though. I was hoping they would get through at least to the knockout stages, but that will be hard now.
Agreed. However, his last performance against Nigeria indicated that he is now back in full form. He scored 2 dramatic goals in the US 2-1 win over Nigeria.
Ghana to the knock out stages? Well, they still could if Portugal keeps playing the way they did today, but I doubt it.
Some humor for the Word Cup.

That game will always stay with me. Those were the days. Sepp Maier, Berti Vogts, Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Muller, Jan Jongbloed, Arie Haan, Ruud Krol, Johan Neeskens, Johnny Rep, Johan Cruyff, Rob Rensenbrink,.... just to name a few. Remember Neeskens. He could hit a ball like a tornado. Loeihard as they say in Dutch. So many memories (emotional) but I agree, this FIFA 2014 has been outstanding so far.
Ah, those names bring back memories!
I played football my entire childhood, and I was always a goaltender.
Sepp Maier was God to me back then!
And the free-kicks by Rensenbrink.
Wow, they should have called the recent movie bend it like Rensenbrink, not Beckham;)
