He will forever be a part of movie history.
When growing up, those Spaghetti-westerns were my absolute favorite movies.
He was a very old man. He was also an avid watch collector and could be seen at watch shows in the L.A area and was a really great guy.
Never to be forgotten. Ninety eight years, quite a run.

I hope that Ennio Morricone will be playing at his funerals (I have no doubt that his music will be played anyway).
I saw him playing in Paris last winter, and he had still an amazing spirit and energy.
Legend of music, legend of cinema.. We'll be missing them when they will all be gone..
May you rest in eternal peace Eli. Thanks for your love of acting.
He played my favorite film character in my favorite movie The Good The Bad and The Ugly.
He IS so cool in the Peter Benchley (JAWS) film, "The Deep" with Nic Nolte, Jacqueline Bisset, Robert Shaw,
Louis Gossitt Jr.
Such a rascal !!

Cowboy hats more likely. Actually where I grew up there were a lot of "vaqueros" that share the same style and background as what we think of as American cowboys. It's amazing to see what they can do in training horses.
My wife limits my love of the old west to cowboy boots. She won't allow the hat :)
Actually most of the time I wore an Australian Akubra hat though I have a couple Stetsons.
The first memory I have is when he was standing on the grave marker with a rope around his neck and trying to keep his balance. Also, carrying his pistol on a lanyard with no holster.
I wonder if Clint will be at the funeral
One of my favorite movie lines of all time is in that clip Jimmy linked: "When you have to shoot, shoot; don't talk."
