I have my Grandfathers cigarette case lighter I believe it's made by Ronsen, one or two Zippo's. I'd love to get my hands on one of those trench lighters, John. They're just to cool not to have one.
Trimmy, the Bowers Sure Fire sliders are still out there, Ebay is the main source, just have to stay away from the "Joe Camel" marked ones, as they are replicas.
The Fusee cord Bowers are hard to find , in all original condition.

The "trick" to lighting that stuff with a spark is to light it once and then draw it back in the tube to kill it. The charred end will catch a spark and light quite readily. It hadn't been lit in a couple a years when I made the little video a while ago.Quote:
