My favorite guitarist ever of any style. The man played with more soul than anyone I have ever seen.

I also loved the way Stevie Ray Vaughn put his heart and soul into his playing and singing.

Yes he died way before his time. He'd gotten his S**t together by getting straight and sober and was playing better than ever and just having fun.

As the quote that his brother Jimmy said "The world misses his music, I just miss my brother".

Nice shirt, and thanks for the video, Roy-Another big Stevie Ray fan here. You guys have probably also seen his "Live at the El Mocambo" and Austin City Limits performances, both of which were just beyond intense. He is still missed.

I have a short interview of him somewhere talking about his music and style. It maybe on a cd. I'll try to find it but this may be a task. It's in storage somewhere.

Back in the early 1980s I was driving down the road with the radio on. Suddenly Voodoo Child came on and I was surprised that there was a version by Hendrix that I had never heard before. I knew it had to be Hendrix, because others may have copied his style, but no one could play like he did. When the song finally ended the announcer said the tune was done by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Blew my mind that anyone would even attempt Voodoo Child after Hendrix, but Stevie Ray was his equal.
