This isn't snow but Cottonwood seeds along the boulevard in front of my house. It reminds me of when my kids were younger and it looked like this. Someone had some matches and they decided to light it. It started burning right down the gutter under cars. They came into the house so scared I couldn't get mad at them. It was a good lesson and nothing was harmed!:rofl2:
I tried to get rid of the double picture but oh well...
Cottonwood has been BAD this year. I don't remember the last time there was SO MUCH flying around.
Wait it must have been about 5 years ago when my allergies were bad.... lol
That's crazy! I've never seen that before. I could see that being dangerous if on fire.
I hate that stuff. It sticks to everything.

Neer seen it bad but I love it when cottonwoods blow,tells me the Shad are starting up the rivers in my local:)
Tell me about it, Zyrtec and Claritin have been my best friend this spring/summer.

LOL - I have a couple of buddies who are fire fighters here in TO, one is a Captain, never forget the story he told me of a fire in a complex he went to, in the laundry room, when it was all out, and they were looking for the cause, he explained to the woman who called it in that they had to remove the lint from the dryer (she was the one who started it), just like the sign said - she got pissed at him and told him, "It wasn't her job"....he made the mistake of saying something snippy to her, had a complaint lodged against him...$60,000 grand of damage, all on the public purse, because they wouldn't take the lint out of the dryer...no thought at all that it could have caused a major fire with major damage, injury or even loss of life...as I said to him, "You just can't fix stupid."Quote:

Some people won't take measures to prevent a fire, and are quick to complain on the FD, but still expect them to show up the second they call. :shrug: This reminds me, on another note, I've met a lot of them guys in TO, from 5 different stations. All of them were awesome. Hung out with 4 of them in station 314 kitchen on Yonge St. waiting for a call, friendliest bunch I've ever met.
