Come on Bob, you got me going for a moment....shall we go fishin???
All I can say is that it is a nice catch for our area. What the ell are you feeding those things in NZ? :D
Bob
yeh but how does it shave?
.....(sorry) :hmmm:
Holy crap! I once caught a HUGE Brook Trout, it weighed almost 2 pounds. :(
They are an introduced species so we feed them native fish, and they have done a damn fine job of eating near all of them. Ironically you need a license to catch them, whereas I think I should be paid a bounty on every one I eliminate.
Don't know how they taste up your way but here they are called mud fish, only way to eat them is smoked.
I totally stole that photo off the interweb, the average my boys catch is between 2-5 lbs. They are fun on the end of the line though...
Sometimes we pick up a sea run trout. Just off shore, and usually near the mouth of a river. Now they are good eatiing....
Sorry to hear that. That is the trouble with introduced species, intentional or otherwise, world wide. I don't eat fish so can't say how ours taste but the boss says pretty good. The fish everyone seems to rave about for eating locally here is pickerel/walleye.
