Greaves, Reynolds, Brittain, Rodgers, love them all, have a soft spot for the Greaves though, some stellar steel there as well.
But as mentioned many times, when we discuss Sheffield steel, we're really referring to a certain artisan pool in the 19th century who probably worked for all the various famous razor makers.
My Greaves have a soul too Phrank :<0) Sharpton planted that in my head but I sure wouldn't bet against him on it.
I haven't been wet shaving for very long, but already I feel a bond with my Bengall 6/8 over the Boker or Henckels. It just feels like a workhorse.
Sheffields are made with a very different steel. It is magically made with the spells of old and with a secret ingredient to add a special carbon to it with a secret process that has been long forgotten and lost to time. Never will there be a steel as superb as Sheffield steel again.
Ok. I am just joking as steel is steel and one isn't better than the other BUT I also love old heavy Sheffield razors and find there is something magical about them even if it's only in my mind.
