It should come as no surprise that in 1971 Bernie Sanders was kicked out of a hippie commune because he wouldn't do any work and only sat around spouting socialist nonsense. When even the hippies think you're a worthless, lazy commie, you're pretty far gone. He's going to stick around until the end (waiting for HRC's indictment), because he's now got huge crowds unemployable, obsequious, sycophants who are willing to listen and cheer him on -- at long last his dream is realized.
Saddly I have to disagree, I am rather surprised by how many people I think are well educated, employed and non-millennials are backing him that I actually know and talk too..
The only thing that surprises me is that they whole-hardheartedly believe that his Brand of Socialism will somehow work when it has failed so many times in history ...
Cue the "Nordic Model" song n dance :p
Actually, the only predictable thing here is the persistent devolution to partisanship and sectarianism, but I'm more than happy to offer the so anticipated "Nordic Model song n dance"

I read variations in the same theme on several websites. It's not as if Sanders was a member of the commune.
Daloz writes that Sanders engaged in “endless political discussion,” while the residents seethed; one resident, Craig, “resented feeling like he had to pull others out of Bernie’s orbit if any work was going to get accomplished that day.” Daloz concludes, “When Bernie had stayed for Myrtle’s allotted three days, Craig politely requested that he move on.”
So the commune had a standard three day visitor policy, and Sanders stayed for three days and then was asked to leave. It's not that big of a deal.
