He didn't mention the singe parties of the Cro-Magnon but it was a good read.
Seems to me he doesn't mention a great deal at all - and even then some of it is highly questionable - as an example - Throughout the 1800’s, shaving was a professional barber’s job, a highly skilled grooming ritual that men would never practice on their own.
That's just not true - men did shave themselves - although they would have visited barbers as well. Samuel Pepys notes in his diary (17th century) that he has cut himself on two days running. Interestingly, he also experimented using a pumice stone on his face and remarked that it left a very smooth finish.
