Short story is, I was changing the wifes car battery...... :banghead::banghead:
Had the old one out, went to put the new one in and decided I needed to clean the blue boogers of the one lead. So I set the battery on the front of the engine. Shaking the car a bit while cleaning, and the battery started to fall. Got the handle in between the fingers and when the full weight hit, it reefed my finger around and low and behold.
I'm 6 weeks past this now, and currently doing physio to get my full range of motion back. It's amazing what 4 weeks, not using your hand in a splint will not only do to the muscles and tendons, but to all the toughness the palm of my hand had. HAD being the key word there. Seemed to have melted layers of skin away. Was on the lathe tonight and it doesn't hinder me at all. Luckily, it's not my pointer or thumb.
Writing, and signing my name was fun...

Well I'm glad to hear your on the mend Andrew :tu
Yeah, those times in a cast/splint sure can take it's toll on your body in so many ways.
Mike, you're a bit warmer than us, but just a few degrees

Glad you're back!
Now you know the meaning of "assault by battery." The double shot espresso made me do it.:o
