When I went down to Texas my gas mileage was around 17.6 mpg. On the way back with no snow at the beginning and a head wind it was around 15.4 mpg. A couple of different stations and brands also.
When I hit northern Iowa and the roads were crud I filled up in case I went in the ditch and needed to stay warm. For the rest of the way when I got home it was 19.3 mpg.
Shows how not going fast and then being very careful with the accelerator pedal and brakes can make a difference.:rofl2:
That is so true Tim. And good for you to fill up just encase. You just never know what is around the bend in the road.
Got my load off and made it home safe and sound. Drove thru as much as 8" of snow that hadnt been plowed. Got home to 5". Got to make a run to the store this morning but thats nothing compared to what i did last night. Easy, peasy! Then time to start shoveling!
