Get the back fixed. Fish and hunt more. Ride the bike as much as possible (So far a wish list) Reduce the collection to a believable no. and stay off the bay. I've been thinking about starting another Kentucky long rifle and that may be in the mix. How about ya'll:hmmm:
I aren't much for resolutions. Seems that dong that strengthens the pressure to cause me to break them quickly.
Sorta like putting things into a safe place..Never can find them again!
Now, where did I put my mind??

Going to loose a few more pounds, spend more time in the shop on wood projects, spend more time fishing and shooting, control temper. I've already reduced my collection from 50+ to 26. Wish I could get my back fixed but no chance of that happening.
So, you're a black powder man? I had a .45 cal Kentucky rifle in the past but currently have 2 Thompson Center Renegades in .50 & .54 cal. and a .50 cal CVA Kentucky pistol. I love the smell of black powder....anytime! I don't hunt, I just target shoot and love getting kicked by guns.

Check out Friendship Indiana for the rendezvous in June. It's about 2 weeks of what they did in the 17-1800s out west. They have black powder shoots and there are some VERY good shooters there.Quote:

I think so far I've built 15 I think. Most of them 54 with 42 in barrels. I built one 40 cal that shot pretty good . I built the wife a Kentucky short. It has a 32 inch barrel in 45 cal. she's taken 2 deer with it and one with a 50 I built back in the 70s. He's is a lefty and the only one I built with a patch box. The one I hunt with is a 54 flinter. I'm in the process of putting new sights on it . taller and thicker. I've gotten where I can't see the ones I put on it when I built it.

My cousin owns builds flint locks only, says he doesn't care for cap lock. Never shot a flint before, would take some getting used to. I think the flash from the pan would make me flinch and I'd miss what I was shooting at.Quote:
