He has got to have some sort of bone or internal injuries...thats just insane. Ive seen a lot of shit in my day of contact sports, but I think that about takes the cake. The only time I have heard of shoes coming off like that is during car accidents involving pedestrians.
  Wow... :fim: :fim: ... He is a lucky boy.
Be careful! :nono: :nono:

I saw that mentioned on a bladers forum. That was quite the amazing air he got. The problem wasn't that he fell...but that he landed on a relatively flat piece of the quarterpipe/semi-vertramp (half vertical ramp). If he'd have landed on the slanted bit he would have just slid down and maybe gotten a nice woodburn in the process....this time however he got a serious slam.
I noticed the same thing....but what I can't figure out is how he got out to the flat spot to begin with....I mean, he came zooming down the incline, across the flat piece, and up the inclined bit(sic) and got the air....it seemed to me that he would drop straight down (back to the inclined bit), but somehow he wound up 20-30' away and, as we all saw, landed on the flat piece with seemingly dire results (bruised liver and cracked vertebra was the latest I heard)...
LX....promise you won't ever do that one, OK?
(we worry about you, lad!)

EDIT: I just went back to re-watch the video, and Youtube took it down - copyright issues with ESPN. But, for those of you who missed it, IT WAS REALLY COOL!!!!!
