Default DST and who is to blame for it

I have disliked the Daylight Savings Time twice a year shuffle for a long time. Always wondered who the idiots were that started it. Turns out the city I live in is to blame. More specifically one part of the town where I live as there were two cities at the time now amalgamated into one. Two cities side by side where one is on DST and the other not in the beginning. Only in Canada Eh.

I detest DST. And I hate it even more since having kids - the two worst weeks of the year are the ones just after the time change.

Unfortunately, I doubt there will be enough attention or momentum to get rid of it any time soon

Got you both beat! I've extended my mortgage till I'm 75, I'm 40 so no hope in retiring soon...

If you find it a pain setting all you clocks back or forward, simply wait 6 months

    Been retired for 7+ years.

I can tell you that I look at clocks and think about what time it is way less now.
The first thing that went was the alarm clock.
I go to bed when I get sleepy and wake up when my eyes open.

    DST....Who cares!!

And I always thought DST was set up so kids weren't waiting for the school bus, in the dark.

Don't get too worried about it, Mark. Most of us won't live that long.
