First time I saw this I thought it would be about people working at the money pit site. Then I learn that the SITE of the money pit was lost.:gaah:

99 years old and will turn 100 on the 30th of this month.
I believe that his original goal was about 1000 Pounds sterling for the National Health Service. He brought in a bit more than that.
One word for Capt. Tom ……………………………...Wooooooow !!!!!!!!
Yup, we've been watching Capt. Tom for a few days now also. I'd go along with others that have suggested that the Queen should honour him with a knighthood for his efforts.

I am one of the fortunate ones concerning the health situation because I work alone, my shop is in the country, I live in a small town (6700 population) in a small
rural county. On a normal daily basis I rarely interact with fellow humans so not much has changed for me except wearing a mask and gloves in Wal Mart. I have
thought about wearing my charcoal filtered paint respirator in Wal Mart to be extra safe and to freak the locals out. I'll probably do that the next time I have to make
a trip. Two weeks ago there was really nice day here so I put the top down on the Alfa and enjoyed a nice cruise. Be sensible friends; I know that will be a task for
some of you.
There is a thread here addressing such challenged folk. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that we are in a world wide Pandemic situation and some folks still insist it's as threatening as an everyday flu. Even if you don't take it serious for yourself you should at least humor the rest of us because folk will remember that attitude later on and some just don't think about that. And god forbid you would get anybody sick because sorry isn't gonna cut it in this scenario I reckon.: thinking:
I agree this is an apples to oranges comparison but let me tell it.
Airplane crashes kill young children so it was decided that all kids should have a car seat in an airplane despite the relatively low risk.
Young families because of the higher cost of flying will then drive.
More children are killed per mile of car driving than flying in an airplane.
This rule has killed more children than it spared.
Again apples to oranges but where do we draw the line?
I'm not here to try to convince anyone they are wrong. Just here to add a different point of view.
I'm small business, always have been. I feel I was lucky to grow up around it. A good percentage of my friends are small business/self employed people too (kind of a "birds of a feather"). While I will survive and business will go on, I have no doubt some of my friends will loose everything they have worked for. Effectively people are asking them to set back and watch the business fold, everything they've worked for, past, present and future.. That's a lot to ask of anyone.
Now, seeming to be in the minority of these post I'll peacefully bow out and leave it to the more like minded folks :beer1:
I doubt our lockdown will hold past May 1st up here...
People are done with the "National Numbers" they are more and more interested in state numbers and local numbers.
