Well....I shall keep Paul in my prayers. Not going to be easy...
Thanks to all for the well wishes. Hard to type with only non dominant hand. I t wasn't so much a matter of lack of safety or carelessness as mechanical failure as the top ball joint came apart (the reason I was doing this in the middle of the night. I just happened to have set my hand down for a moment while moving around kneeling. Bad positioning and really bad timing. Still working through pain management as I don't take pain meds since having a life threatening anaphylactic reaction causing 5 days in ICU following a surgery. Just using Advil and tylenol. Still may need amputation pending results of surgery. Bones in distal and medial phylanges were crushed. The joint is questionable plus lots of soft tissue damage which may not survive depending on it accepting blood flow. Still worth a shot trying to save it since amputation is an un-ringable bell. Susie has been amazing. I love her so much. Both kids are medical field bound and we're amazing. I'm really proud of both being cool and level headed and supporting their mother who worries a lot.
On the upside my Covid test came back negative. I'm a fighter and not at all a quitter so I will make it through even though repair was the harder road. Thanks again to all!
It’s a gross thought, but leeches are still the best are returning distal circulation. Just a thought.
Oh my, Shaun! Dr Pepper works a treat!

Darn. I was all set to either dremel a replacement out of mammoth ivory and inlay it with MOP, forge one out of 1095 and polish it to a mirror finish except for the grip-improving jimps, or else 3D print one, or maybe even cast it out of beer can aluminum. LOL Seriously, glad they saved the finger for you. Speedy recovery!
Damn ! Bad luck Paul but here's hoping for a positive prognosis.
I don't get it. I type with one finger always! What so hard about that?
:rofl2:
Speedy recovery, Paul
