A 1.5 hour video? No thank you. No mater what it's about. That's like watching the idiot box/I mean TV. Sorry bro. Ain't happening.
I know it's not short but I think worth the time. We should all be aware of how social media effects us and our children and grandchildren. A lot of the problems in our country...in our world are because of a thing we allow to happen and most of us don't even realize it is happening. We allow a machine to effect our behavior and environment which has no sense of compassion or remorse and no moral compass and we not only allow it, we invite it.
I have no interest in watching it however I've said for years now social media is in great part a very bad thing. It's a place where those who used to live under a rock somewhere now have come out and can spew their nonsense and influence the masses and once it churns millions see it and believe it. Once that happens the actual facts don't matter.
All that so folks can keep in touch with friends? What's wrong with E mails and the telephone?
It's a monster that has gotten out of control.
That's not even the half of it. And here we see first hand an example of how this AI monster has gotten away from us. People are disinterested as long as they are fat and happy satiating whatever their jolly is. Don't get me wrong. I'm not pointing fingers. I am convicted by my own words. I think we all are. Think about these 2 things. 1) The social media AI deliberately addicts people and it is constantly getting better at it. Only 2 organizations call their customers "users," illegal drug dealers and social media. If you don't pay for the product you are the product. 2) The rate of teenage depression and suicide has increased 56% since the advent of social media. These things plus the fact that we have voluntarily made ourselves dependent on a device that constantly watches and listens to everything we say, watch, browse, buy and read should scare the daylights out of all of us.
...oh yeah. You can say, and I'm sure some people will, "But I don't even use social media." If you are reading this, yes you do.
No need to blame social media, we all have the choice to use or not, so I don’t see the problem as for the younger generation falling apart, maybe, but my grandkids haven’t experienced any issues, just very normal hard working members of society
Well, ya know. Sorry I tried to share something enlightening and important.
