California's "Water Year" just ended, and the stats are out.
2020-2021 was the driest year since 1895: statewide, only 49% of average rainfall, with some areas as low as 26%.
Here in the San Francisco Bay area, the number was 39% of normal.
Water reservoir storage statewide: 57% of normal.
Most of the water districts in this area have water restrictions on customers of from 10-50%.
Lake Tahoe water level is down 5 feet.
Lake Oroville (California's largest reservoir) is 271 feet below capacity.
