Tom, the only thing missing from this picture is Bruno.
Pete <:-}
I have not bought thin bacon for some time. Food is the one place I never skimp. I will walk before I cut my food purchases down.
I also don't care for the thin, transparent slices. Best way to cook that is separate it as you can and toss into skillet, cover with a lid and go slow.
I buy the thick-sliced in the biggest slab I can, cut it in half and deposit 10 half-slices in individual sandwich bags and all into a freezer bag.
I can pull a sandwich bag out every Saturday to thaw for Sunday morning brunch.
I love my bacon press. Pull from the side as the middle gets done.
To-day, some peppered ham goes in after the bacon is done. Low heat. take my sweet time!
Will be French toast along side. We like to spread peanut butter and then syrup.
Yes, a Bruno knife from Howard Clark's San Mai steel.
Gonna be good!

Everything tastes better with bacon, even bacon!
I use bacon "bits&pieces" when I am cooking for myself. I use thick cut bacon when cooking for others.
Never maple flavor bacon, it is abhorrent.
Peanut butter, bacon, all you need is banana to do a full Elvis meal.
Thank you, Thank you very much.
edit: Thinking about it I use the thin stretchy bacon to wrap jalapeno poppers for the grill.
I'm all shook-up!
Yes! Good for wrapping tasty morsels! :D
