I am building a log home and am planing to sand the inside of the logs and beams. To any of the avid woodworkers or anyone else with an opinion. What grit and what progression in grit should I use? I just bought a PC 505 1/2 sheet finish sander and have been looking at Kingsplor woodworking shop sandpaper. I need to get started sanding please help.

Well, I'm not sure if you're after a mirror finish or not, but to get a smooth surface that you won't catch yourself on, I'd do an evening pass with 80 grit, move up to 120 grit, and then finish with 220 - should be plenty good for getting it smooth. I'd even say take a good long look at the 120 pass and see if that's smooth enough.
