I yet again find myself in Gary's corner... whatever little human's do to the environment it is nothing compared to what natural forces do.
so for earth day my neighbors and i set a large fire... our goal 7 square miles or so (4480acres) including the hedgerows... the fields just needed to be cleaned out and it was the first day the week long burn ban was lifted :) but only about 4000 acres burned the rest was too green
fire pretty... :D
I tilled up my garden and prepped it for planting. I grow a large vegetable garden every year and it produces enough veggies for my parents, my girlfriend’s parents, and a few neighbors all year long. I reuse my canning jars every year and I believe it to be more economically and environmentally friendlier than buying canned goods at the market.

Factoid: When a human that is 3 miles away from the Grayling River (North Michigan) takes a leak in the woods, its urine flows all the way back and pollutes the river. Fox, bear and deer don't pollute (theirs go uphill I guess).

If I'm a passenger in a car eating an apple and am travelling 75 mph on I-75 and throw the core out the window and it lands in the weeds, am I composting?
