Have you heard his pre-nominee speeches? What would be more interesting is if O gets elected, 4 years from now we can say: 'Now that wasn't so bad, was it'

Because despite all the doom and gloom by the naysayers, I predict that the US will not turn into a dictator-run socialist state.

If I were US citizen I would vote for Obama. I think McCain is too old, choses the wrong allies (Palin) and he would continue Bush policies which have caused more problems than they solved. Both to the US and the world.

If McCain wins and dies within 4 years the US is gonna have a total nitwit as a President.

I think Gary is a spoiler to McCain's disadvantage in this SRP poll!

No, but if I recall correctly, there was something with an unintuitive ballot layout which caused people to punch the hole for Pat Buchannon instead of Al Gore.
This lost Gore a sizable number of votes, though I do not know if they were enough to have changed the outcome.

Perhaps it would be better to compare Gary's influence on this poll with Nader's influence in 2000 (or 2004?), since the votes lost to pat were on accident, but the votes lost to nader were a consequence of his candidature.

Now see you only asked who I was voting for. You never said what the vote was for. So naturally I voted Barr because I assumed it was a poll to decide who made the best soft drink in the world. I was wondering what soft drink Obama and McCain make. I mean I know McCain makes fries but what food product does Obama make?

As someone who lives in a partially socialist system, I can tell you that most americans have no idea what socialism really is. And Obama is hardly a marxist. Just because Obama has a couple of ideas that could be considered leaning towards socialism doesn't make him a Joseph Stalin.

I can sympathize with any lack of interest in or respect for he mainstream media. They're interested in the things that affect our lives for their entertainment value only. However, I've also read Jefferson and Marx. Neither mentions Obama, for starters. Then, you link to a widely-rejected pseudo-intellectual, Mr. Sowers. You should know that rejecting CBS News only to get your information exclusively from right-wing propaganda organs like Hoover, Heritage, or American Enterprise, is hardly the road to enlightenment.

Get us those Obama quotes and we'll run them around a bit.
