I attribute the state of Michigan's economy more to the current state of global economy. Even before, everybody was outsourcing to China, so the manufacturing industry is way down. We're also feeling the effects here in Ontario. It's not as bad and it's only getting bad now since we hedged our bets with the service industry and some resource revenue.
As a Canadian of Serbian descent, I prefer W to Tubby. W came up with a better excuse for NATO's continued existence ("fighting terrorism" as opposed to "peacekeeping") and was more beneficial or less detrimental to both nations.
