My Dad has a TomTom and has been pretty unhappy with it. I have never used one myself though. That seems to be a pretty good deal. TigerDirect (they just bought out CompUSA) has continuous sales on GPS units. I got a Garmin Nuvi for 119. I use it alongside my 911 Computer Aided Dispatch system to check it sometimes. It has given perfect directions 100% of the time.
I got one of these for SWMBO last year and it's been pretty good. The only thing is that some of the maps are terribly old in some places. So far though, when she's been in a jam in a big city (Tulsa, OKC, and New Orleans so far), it has gotten her through with flying colors.
