I said my New Year Resolution was to finish my book. I have to admit, for several reasons it was alot more difficult than I originally had imagined. It took me just under five years to complete. It fills 199 pages and has 67,773 words. I like it. We'll see what happens next but I know at least I didn't sabotage the project. I overcame my insecurities and finished my novel!!!
Let me be the first to congratulate you, Brad. Fantastic news. It's always nice to see someone complete a task like that.
When will we see it on the book shelves?

Awesome, Brad! Congrats on not letting OCD push you to make it 200 pages..... :) Adrian Monk would be highly disappointed.

Good job! What a fantastic feeling that must be. I have a few short stories that I have been "meaning" to turn into longer pieces, and never have. Maybe you'll inspire me! Probably not, though. I am an expert slacker when I want to be.

No hints required. The title is On the Road With Mr. Toes. The book is about a 3500 mile road trip in my MINI Cooper S with a polydactyl orange tabby. I took the cat on the road while my girlfriend and I took a much needed break from our relationship and my job in the medical device industry was falling apart. It is a story about learning to believe the hard way in the Serenity Prayer. You know, "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change..."Quote:
