I have music in my head all the time. I own two 60s vintage Ludwig drumsets, Martin dreadnaught and Fender Stratocaster guitars, Squier bass, and a Korg keyboard, among other stuff. I'm mostly a 60s-70s folk-rock oldie, with enough jazz thrown in to make me unemployable as a musician in Tennessee. :nono:
I couldn't imagine living without music. Not that I'm one of those people who always need some noise around them, on the contrary, but I couldn't go without Sunday morning church organ, the occasional opera, evening Bach accompanied reading, singing with collegues or playing Beethoven's violin concerto every once in a while - to name just a few things. Music humbles comforts, inspires me. Music makes life a little more bearable. I'd rather never speak a word ever again than having to forgo music.
Even as a little boy I loved music. I appreciate blues, folk, rock, jazz, old time, classical and even some hip hop. I fool with the acoustic guitar too.
"Yes" is not enough of an answer to me. Music is my life. I'm a composer.
I do not take pictures when I travel. Instead I try to remember the sounds and associate them with the images I remember or pictures someone (thankfuly...) took for me. I'd rather have a good recorder than a good camera. I compose all the time. I carry around a journal everywher I go and take notes of musical ideas... I compose all the time, even when I am not sitting at my desk facing empty sheet-music... Music is my life.
Music has always been a part of my life. If I am not making it, I am listening to it.
James.
...And the cheese stands alone.
A world without music would be a poorer place altogether. I'm sure we've all done the "What sense would you rather lose, your sight or your hearing?" game. I have always said I'd rather be blind than deaf, simply because I could not bear the thought of never hearing music again.
Mark -- make sure you stand at room temperature. A good cheese should not be refrigerated before it is served up.
Music is very important to me. I collect CDs and my girlfriend is a professional singer.
Music is my life... I like to do everything with appropriate music in the background... I even like to learn with the music in the background because it helps me to remember things easier...
I was also playing the keyboard in the high school band... And I can play keyboard, guitar and drums... :D
Capricorns are known to love music. I'm no exception. From the moment I get up until I fall asleep with my earphones.
I'm open to many genres but I thrive and listen mostly to House music (deep, progressive, funky, French, Chicago, Latin, New York, Pumpin', Sexy, Tribal, Ambient) or the Godfather of detroit techno, Jeff Mills.
Music does bring people together and in current times, music can heal the soul, the spirit and the mind!
Music is very important to me. Like any taste it is very induvidual, I don't know any one who has the same taste in music as me. I like the fact that it reflects my mood and can help me achieve things.
It's just one more thing I love to appreciate.
This made me think of 'Fantasia on a theme' I haven't listened to that for months.
I feel so lonely.
Music is important to me because it makes working-out a little less crappy. Good music really pumps me up at the gym.
It is important to me. I'm a professional musician and a high school band director.
take it or leave it
most times it is simply noise
Never thought I'd see the day when Mark and Shaun would be in full agreement. :rofl2:
I like listening to music while I am working (metal, ghotic, 80s rock, blues), and listening to the radio when I am driving or having breakfast.
Hehehe. So far the only person to say no :D I personally find music an annoying distraction.
Steven
Yupp.
Even in the office we listen to music all day long.
If not, "i plug it in my ears" (a.k.a: use earphones).
On the way to work&home (about 3 hours) in my car, i listen to music.
And at home most of the time. (When i'm not watching TV).
I listen to the radio even in my bathroom.
So, i think music is important to me. :)
It is not important at all to me, guess I maybe listen to music 20-30 min a week or so.
But I like having some good rock in the car, so when it is getting back on the road again it might be some more music in my life.
