I haven't read more than the review but for some of us it might be worth the price of admission ? Here is a review for “Absinthe & Flamethrowers”.

I lke the sound of it, my kind of guy.
Fun! The anarchists' cookbook for a new generation. I'll have to check out his books.
Potato Cannons were a big source of entertainment for my friends and I in college. As were home made fireworks...though those probably weren't a very good idea.
Yup. I'll be picking this one up. I need something a little lighter after I finish these two:
A Brief History of Time, Stephen Hawking, Book - Barnes & Noble
People's History of the United States, Howard Zinn, Book - Barnes & Noble
My brain hurts pretty good after a couple chapters in each one.
I'd bet dollars against pesos that buying this book puts you on a DHS watchlist somewhere.
Several years ago a fellow Railroad Dective worked a case in Birmingham, AL where some juveniles shot a train with a potato cannon.
They called it a "BAD" , Backyard Artillery Device.
Juvies - slap on the wrist and sent home and told to be good,
Yeah right!
:roflmao
I absolutely loved backyard ballistics. It reminds me of shaving with a straight: you think you're going to save money because the thing itself is inexpensive, but you don't realize that you're going to want to build EVERYTHING in the book (or buy all the soap you can get hold of to lather with). I built a 5 foot long potato canon that can launch the hell out of a spud, all thanks to that book. I think I'm going to order this soon:rock:
