So how does it know one form of biomass versus another?

Stupid hippy vegan killer robots.
You guys found about it just now? It's based on a book:
Eats, Shoots & Leaves, Lynne Truss, Book - Barnes & Noble
yes, of course, the sequel's not yet released :)
Anybody else see the picture of this thing and get terribly dissapointed?
It looks like a 10th grade science project robot...not even one of those wicked-cool battlebots that were all the rage for 18 minutes a few years ago.
Come on...killer robots that can (I know it doesn't, but it SHOULD) eat its enemies' corpses should look the friggen part.
I'll have to update my "Would you rather..." thread to include a bear, a shark, or an Eatr....
Now then, out on the battlefield...the eatr is approaching your position, guns blazing...things are looking grim....
Then an idea occurs to you!
You throw your half-eaten Big Mac out of your foxhole, and the hungry eatr gets distracted by the aroma of the two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun...as it stoops over its' new found prey you leap out of your entrenchment and pop a cap in it's a**
A much cooler, and creepier robot can be seen here:
YouTube - Big Dog
I love the part where the guy gives it a kick, and it is pretty unfazed. Same with teh slipping on ice stuff. Looks pretty organic in its' response.
I've seen that before. That noise alone, if you knew what it was and that it was coming after you to kill you would be enough to cause one to soil themselves. Imagine a host of those robots approaching you with tactical weapons and the collective sound they would make. You could call it the buzz of death.

Yeah, and imagine if they are like 100feet tall, armed with laser cannons, and all you and your rag-tag band of rebels have are snow skimmers with harpoon cables......
Wait a second....that looks/sounds somehow vaguely familiar....
