Hey guys,
Does anyone use hot wax and stamp to seal important letters/notes? I dont know how I got all of these "Hibrow" hobbies! Just curious if anyone else has used the wax?

No, I don't wax my letters or my legs. ;) I have not written a letter in years and my legs are just plain ugly.
On a more serious note, Does anyone know where on the net I can obtain info a learning how to write in Spencerian script?

I put Spencerian script into google and got lots of hits. Enjoy.
Bebosky I always thought that was a classy touch thing from days gone by. Then again most of the things that tickle my fancy are from days gone by. Hadn't heard of anyone doing that these days though. COOLQuote:

I use one on letters to friends. I picked up a boxed set awhile back. It came with calligraphy pens , ink, 3 stamps, wax in stick form as well as flakes, a brass melting spoon, and a small brass alcohol burner. Lately though I seem to email more than write.
I think putting the wax on personal letters is a gas
The stamps I have seen aren't very impressive, though. Have you considered using leather working stamps? Seems to be an endless number of choices to really personalize the correspondence.
Or, you could get really fancy, and have your own logo made.

That sounds cool. I'm afraid that my letter writing days dwindled years ago with the onset of carpal tunnel. It's too bad, I loved having the ink flow out of a fine writing instrument like a Meisterstuck or Souveran fountain pen. Do you have samples of the different marks you use?
The Chinese and Japanese use neat carved stamps to put red ink on art and documents. If you live near a China-town you could have on made and it would be unique. The stamps are carved out of ivory, bone, stone, etc. and each is hand carved. I think that would be easier than melting wax. Just get an ink pad and stamp, done.
