Amen. Nowadays it seems like people feel so entitled yet have no accountability.

Yeah... I get scared about Obama too, he is DEFINITELY the first president to do something like this... oh... wait... George Bush Presidential Library and Museum :: Public Papers ... well Wildtim... how do you reconcile that? were you OK with the "Bush" culture infiltrating the schools? perhaps you were in school at the time and that's why you are unable to be objective today?
Ah, nevermind.
You are forgetting the main problem: if you break down his speech, it makes sense. It is positive. His message is proven by the very fact that he is the first black president, when that would have been considered impossible when he was a kid.
Why is that a problem you ask?
Well, if you're a die hard republican who is covinced that Obama is evil ... how would you reconcile this with your worldviews?
Were you worried about this as well? Personally I thought it was a bit over the top, with the 'under God' bit, seeing as the US is supposed to be a secular state. That part was pretty scary imo.
And I personally think it would be better to swear to the constitution instead of the flag. The justice bit sounds good though. A president who went to war over lies should get some of that.

Yes conservative kids. A major topic of discussion on the bus was who they would vote for, of course their opinion was based on their parent but thats beside the point.
The school system was deliberately passing out campaign literature favoring one candidate during an election. Had the school put a commercial on television with the same wording as the coloring book it would have been illegal. But because it was a "educational project" the school got to endorse a candidate and campaign for him with no repercussions.
The George Washington example is completely irrelevant, as he was not campaigning for the office at the time. Thats my problem with this, not that there were pictures colored and reports written, but that they were one sided, politically motivated and during an election.
