Congratulations! It takes a lot of determination just to stick with it, and it sound like in your school, you have a lot more to learn than many others. Very nice accomplishment.

I thought you were talking about Go for a second there! I'm thinking, what's the big deal about 8 kyu?
Ahhhh, martial arts! Congratulations!
Congrats Bruno! OS! [bow]. I'm not familiar with the ninpo, but here is a video link for you to enjoy . . . (No. 3):

Congradulations on your testing exam. Those things can be nerve racking.Eventually when I get the dough together I'll be going for my 3rd Dan and instructor certification, but the fees are getting to be a bit much to handle. Are your fees really high as well?
Congratulations for your accomplishment.
Not really. Dojo membership, federation fees + insurance is 250 euro per year (give or take a couple of euros). Checktesting is 30 euros per test at the kyu levels. Even if you go to every class and practise at home like I did, you won't do more than 2 exams per year.
Dan checktests are a bit more pricey, but not that expensive. And since most people within Genbukan also follow the ju-jutsu route which has the same setup, it takes about 7-10 years to reach shodan, so it'll be a while before it becomes an issue. :)
