If you think Fox started the fight a long time ago, like I do, then, in keeping with the philosophy we both agree on, I think its appropriate that he's doing what he's doing. Its important that Obama demonstrate he has the cojones to confront adversity, both domestically as well as abroad.

Do you feel the Obama Administration should be trying to discredit a new agency that is critical of it? No any Government administration should at least be reprimanded (Like that will happen) for any such practice. News is by nature opinion bias Liberal or Conservative. Some granted are more out spoken than others but there is an agenda always like it or not.A point of view is just that a point of view. I guess you could say this is part of mine.

Fox news is not a governmental agency, actually much of it isn't even a news station. In fact, O'Reilly and Beck, Hannity are really entertainers rather than news anchors. So Obama is not really doing anything new, but instead providing some continuity with the previous administration, where attacks on the entertainment industry were even more commonplace.

Before you think I am biased, MSNBC is in the same boat. Just like O'Reilly or Beck, people like Oberman and Maddow are not news anchors but entertainers. Each of them spew out a generous dose of spin and propaganda at various targets. I think its perfectly appropriate for our conservative political leaders to go after MSNBC. But it would be inconsistent if I cheered when conservative political leaders bashed MSNBC, but booed when Obama bashed Fox. No, believe me I am not as wishy washy, flip floppy hypocritical as that.

Other than my own bias I find no problem with either party bashing one news organization or the other. If they wish to bash opinion pieces or "National Enquirer" type papers that is fine with me, but the President is a different story all together whether he be Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Conservative, or Libertarian. I don't believe the Presidents job is to pit one American against the other but rather to bring America together. Is that what Obama is doing? No. I think he is intentionally driving a wedge between us all but I can't really fathom his overall intent in doing such.
