Ok, so in full-screen mode, I could see a little better, but still it seems to me that the guy wasn't doing as instructed. I'm not saying that beating the guy is justified, but it's just not smart to not comply with instructions from an officer. It's not hard to follow simple instructions.
A few of my friends are police officers and some of the stories they tell would freak most people out. Some of the things that they have to go through, it's simply amazing.

Back on topic for anyone who has an interest in the original post.
i don't think the video shows anything, however a jury may see everything, and hang these cops. The Lawyer is pursuing the typical shell game approach to defending his client. Don't focus on why my client was arrested, or what he did to get arrested, but look at how my client was treated by those horrible police. He's the victim, he's the innocent party, and therefore you should acquit. distract the jury (or jury pool) from the crime he allegedly committed. He could also be using it to try and discredit the police, so their testimony is less effective at trial, if and when it does go to trial.
