I love cigars but am a snob. If its not Cuban, I don't smoke it, therefore I very rarely smoke. This is just plain stupid and any DUDE who would buy this needs to pay a plastic surgeon for growth in his nether regions.
I am guilty though of wanting a Zowada and Levi razor and this band is no more conceded than paying these prices for these razors. I am not saying they aren't worth what you pay, but you certainly don't need one.
I think the word you are looking for is PRETENTIOUS!
I collect vintage fountain pens and I can see this as a collector's item that won't actually ever be used. NOS pens bring the highest value and as long as they are in pristine condition they go for tons of money. Some of the new European/Italian in specific, pens go for anywhere from $500 US to several thousand. Those higher priced pens are for collectors almost exclusively and will never be used. Kind of like some of the Maestro Livi razors. If I bought one, I'm not sure I could ever use it.
The major and what I would call glaring difference is that our hobby is functional. With functionality comes preference, and therein lies the attraction. While I'd agree that most of us probably don't need all the junk we have, I wouldn't call any of it "designer".
The only capacity this thing functions in is making the user look like a douche bag.
As for the t-shirts (of which I have none), it's the same thing as a Harley-Davidson rider wearing a Harley-Davidson t-shirt. If this guy bought a t-shirt that said "I Use a Davidoff Silver Gilded Cigar Band", I'd applaud him for solidifying his douchebaggery.
After seeing this I want a miniature watch instead of a ring to wrap around my cigar!
BTW: Never trust a cigar salesman who lights his cigar with a Zippo .
