Well, 11 are in the open now with Tiger Woods...11 women. Who knows how many more in the shadows who will not show themselves for one reason or another.

I personally have trouble handling one let alone 11. Forgetting for a second about the immense damage I would be doing to my family I don't see how one can mentally or physically keep up with more than one woman and even if I could ignore the pain I would be causing my wife and children I just wouldn't have the time to have an affair...

How about you? How many is too many? What about Woods? Does this change your opinion of him? I never really had an opinion of him but I do now.

From all accounts I've read so far, it's not like he had 11 romantic affairs at the same time. He had sex with a number of different women at different times over a period of many years.

Honestly... it doesn't really change my opinion about him. He made mistakes, and now he is paying for them. He was irresponsible and hurt his family.

He didn't kill anyone, rape anyone, beat up anyone...
The man's not perfect yet he's not a criminal either.

Fwiw kennedy was much, much more of a womanizer as is said to have had a hunger for sex with anyone wearing a skirt. Yet he is highly regarded as far as presidents go.

I have seen first hand what can happen when a man has more than one at any one time. My father in-law has three wives (well actually only the first one is his wife, the rest just live here). Everyone lives together like one big happy dysfunctional family. The only good thing is that if I get angry at my brothers in-law who are not from the first marriage I can call them bastards and it's ok. Because they are.

A guy I work with, one of his grandparents has a wife and a mistress, they all live together.

I don't think it's changed my opinion of him. I don't think what he did was right, but good people do stupid things. Money and fame don't help much. By all accounts, my uncle was the same throughout his first marriage.

One of the main differences between my father in-law and me is that I have had the opportunity to see what a terrible idea it is to even consider more than one woman, where as he had to learn through his mistakes. One thing I have learnt from my father in-law (even if he doesn't realise this yet) is that just because you can get away with it is not justification to do it.

Most likely he has been scr**ing around rather than have a steady relationship with that many women all at the same time.

I couldn't care less how he runs his personal life but I feel sorry for his kids (if he has any) and his wife who must be very disappointed. I never was a fan of his and this hasn't changed my views of him.

In his seminal hit "T for Texas". Jimmie Rogers, the father of country music, sang,"I've got more women than a passenger train can haul." In my younger days I got around a little bit myself coming of age in the era when 'free love' was blossoming.

I don't have an opinion on Tiger but he doesn't make a patch on '50s rhythm & bluesman Screaming Jay Hawkins. See this article here if you want to be outraged. BTW, your comparison of c0ckaroaches coming up **** makes me wonder about the filters on this website.:)

As for athletes and other famous people who do this, I think it is awful what they do to their families. If not married, they are all consenting adults, I don't much care what they do...but once they are breaking promises to spouses and obligations to children....it's awful.

Remember the old days of the double standard when a promiscuous woman was treated like a leper but a man who played around was a hero? It seem we've done a 180 as a male celebrity is shamed by his actions when the females involved are lining up to say, "Me too! I'm a slut, too!" The same action was wrong on both sides and yet they seem to enjoy the limelight of their notoriety. When did we become a society in which misbehavior has become something to crow about?

I'm not a sports fan at all so it amuses me when sports figures are elevated to godlike status. Then they fall and many fans seem bewildered, forlorn and lost. I don't put my chips in front of any other human betting they'll be my messiah.

Very good point! Things have really changed.

i can honestly say that everytime i have a girlfriend (right now we are at 3 years and VERY happy) i have girls hitting on me all the time. call it a confidence thing, call it not trying so hard or maybe there are just some girls who like a challenge. i don't know what it is but i have never cheated on a girl, no matter how tempting it was. plus i don't buy the excuse of being drunk that some guys come up with cuz i have been there too and been able to see that it was still wrong.

i think that the main difference with me is that i have always dated girls that i really enjoyed talking to and getting to know as well as found them very attractive. i tend to wonder whether or not a lot of these celebs try to make the same connection. i know there are some that do, but i don't doubt that "arm candy" isn't the base of some of these celeb marriages. sad to say.

so in closing, :) 1 is enough for me. seriously its all i can handle, :beer2:

Tiger Woods really did mess up with his private life, but the case should be treated like that. The case should be handled privately between his family (and maybe with those ladies) because he has surely hurt them most. He hasn't done anything criminal as far as i know.

Most of us people do some mistakes in some parts of their lifes. Sometimes the consequenses hurt not only those people directly involved, but also their families and close friends.
I am not to judge. Personally i'm not interested where mr Woods likes to put his private parts (or with what company he does so). Well he had his fun and now it's time to pay.

Personally i have all the fun (and sometimes not so fun) with my wife. At this age one lady is enough for me. Couldn't stand more: that would surely be chaotic.

(Not so funny) story about how things sometimes go in the (not so) perfect world: I have a good friend who is married and works at the airport here. Few years ago he had a romantic affair with a married lady who worked at the same place. One day they got caught in the 'action' in the middle of a working day. Happened then that the lady got fired and my friend became a boss :confused:

I golfed when I was younger and remember hearing about Cheetah (or Tiger, as he was formerly known) when he was in his early teens. So I guess in my mind I have always thought of him as a potential up and coming golfer. By the time he turned pro I was not really following golf much anymore.

I'm amazed that celebrity infidelity is news. Hell even politician infidelity isn't news, unless they are politicians who preach morality and the sanctity of marriage. Then it's news because it's funny.


That said, I think the only reason people care is because they've always thought Tiger Woods was like a golf playing robot with no personality. Now they find out his just a regular douche who happens to be really good at golf.

I don't have any opinion on the subject. I really don't care what another man does with his *****. What puzzles me Mark is why would you get so caught up in it?

I never built up an immune system. So combine a holiday atmosphere, alcohol, and women on the mission of getting into your bed, and no bookmaker would take the odds.

Seriously, a significant portion of men and women alike has an affair during their relationship. 55% of the men and 45% of the women. There are thousands of members here. a dozen or so contributed in this thread alone... so who are you kidding? I am convinced that many of us would have walked a similar path to Tiger.

Seriously. Jimmy, Leadduck and some others have seen a same thing as i've been wondering for a long time. It is a fact that these kind of things have happened for thousands of years. Up until recently they have never been so much public. When did they become a entertainment for the masses? Why do people keep buying the gossip papers and watch idiotic soap operas and tv shows like BB, Oprah, etc etc. What makes decent people end up solving their problems in the public? What makes their life so much more special that they have to show it to the whole world?

I'm not to judge, as anyone is free to watch and read whatever he/she wants, but that is one of those reason i've given up on watching tv.
I've said before and keep saying again that for me life is elsewhere.

You can't blame the press -- they're simply giving the public what they want. The press wouldn't be putting the stuff out if there wasn't a market for it. Look at the popularity of some of the stuff on TV and it becomes pretty clear that America is becoming an intellectual wasteland. If the public wants to buy garbage, there's always folks willing to sell it to them.

What did we really expect though?

I mean this is a guy who's been playing with his putter since he was 5.

He's the best thats ever been at getting to the hole, now he's just proving it a different way.


It could be all the women's fault he is known for a long straight drive so they just had the find out for themselves.

So far my defense system has held up, but it can be torture.

I have a girlfriend and I can tell you that other women do not hit on me. I am not a player. I just don't care at this point, and certainly could not support a family much less appropriately provide for a wife. We have been together for just over 2 years and I can tell you two females and their mood swings at certain times of the month would be more than I could handle.
Its a shame though. Tiger will loose half his money in the end, but hey if I made a 100mil a year I could afford to give up a little.
Plus she is a Vet student and I need someone to help pay my school loans when I go to work for the government.

the thing that bothers me about superstars and high profile people is that a lot of young people look up to these guys and girls as heroes. then they find out what trash they are. i get the impression that our younger people wonder if all people who make it big and get rich are just whore dogs and ho's...i just hope the ones that look up to people like tiger and others do not try and emulate them later on as well...
tiger literally had it all and was well respected and now look at him..how much money is it gonna cost him and will he lose any sponsors? he also announced today on his website he was taking a indefinite time away from golf
