Grammatical Anomaly

I remember another: "acrost"

As in: "The hardware store is acrost the street"

We certainly have a great debation going on here. My old boss loved that word.

Another word that is used way too much is "that". People stick it into sentences all the time and in most cases if you omit it the sentence sounds way better. ie-Its my opinion that fast food restaurants are unhealthy. Doesn't it sound better if you remove that?
