OT: suggestions for a HD Tivo?

So I’ve re-discovered the great picture quality of OTA (over the air) high def TV. But all those commercials are driving me nuts. I’m thinking of getting the Tivo TCD652160 (about $230) which does have ATSC tuner input(s) but I have some questions/concerns:

1) Does this model (or other Tivos) have any kind of DRM crap that would prevent me from easily skipping commercials?

2) If it recorded a show that I really like, can I easily transfer it to my computer as an .AVI or .MOV file or something?

3) I no longer subscribe to cable or satellite, only have the antenna. So I won’t need to actually pay for a tivo subscription will I? Will I basically need to manually program it like a VCR to record when I want it?
