My Fiance thinks Im trying to pick up women on this site!!!

I have been on this site so much lately that the fiance is convinced I must be talking to women, and thats the only reason I would be on a website so often. I have stated to her that its about straight razors, and its all guys, and we talk about more than razors.

Of course, she doesnt believe me, and thinks I spend more time on here than with her, which is not true...usually when I am on here she is typing away on her laptop...

Anyway, does anyone elses significant other give them crap about the site, or have they gotten used to the idea???

It doesnt really matter, as you can see I am still on here just as much after her little tantrum...I was just wondering

Nope. My wife completely understands and is supportive of my interests and endeavours as I am of hers.

That is what I would call a good relationship. Then again we have two kids and have been together for over a decade. That tends to soften the edges, builds understanding and trust too.

In about a decade or so, she will learn to trust you and then it will get easier.

I tried telling her this is where a lot of us go to get away from our women...not to find more...lol...I dont think that went over well either lol Luckily she gets over things quickly

I realized that I answered a direct question but it does not really apply.

What I should have answered is: Would my wife give me hell for this 10 years ago when we were starting our relationship?

Probably more than you are getting. We had our share of rough spots so I doubt that spending time here would have smoothed those over.

Over time we got to learn each other's quirks and idiosynchracies. A bit more and we got used to them. A bit more and we started looking at them as distinguishing features instead of shortcommings. All that took about 10 years.

Once we reached that last stage we finally accepted each other as we are and really started to enjoy our relationship.

Well, I feel better knowing it isnt just me! I think she knows I am not really trying to meet someone on the net, but she is just like that...which is silly she is sexy as hell, and I am just a normal guy...I should be the paranoid one...

I guess I'm lucky...my g/f thinks that shaving with the brush and all is very sexy. And now that I've added the straight razor...her interest is really piqued!

Oh she LOVES the smoothness of my face, and has learned to appreciate the shaving because she gets me looking all nice and smooth afterwords...she just thinks its very strange that I am on this message board so much...

I do average around 12 posts a day.... :eek: :eek:

When are you getting married? Is the date set? Is it close?

The reason I ask is if it is close (like a year or less is close for many women) then the following applies.

Women's reaction to marriage is a bit different from men. Most men feel that their responsibility on wedding day is to just show up. For women it is a whole undertaking with lots of possible nightmare scenarios, any of which would constitute a ruined wedding. The day just has to be perfect.

That can kind of importance can stress anyone out. So if your wedding date is relatively close then she could just be stressed out over everything being just right.

You'll get the same wildly different views when she gets pregnant.

Women stress out if the baby room is not done and ready by the 16th week ultrasound. While we feel perfectly fine putting on the last coat of paint when the water breaks.

We are calm they are stressed.

A reversal usually occurs at the signing of the first house purchase. Women beam with glee and hapiness and men feel like an elephant just sat on their chest. They see a home, while we see mortgage payments.

Over the long haul the differences just about balance out. Just takes a while to realize it.
