i used a couple websites to learn how to solve the cube. 1min29sec is my best but that was a little lucky and by all means done purely by memorizing algorithms.

I love solving the Rubik's cube. In fact I wore mine out recently....
I'm also into Sudoku.
In my Introduction to Abstract Mathematics class in college we worked through the math behind solving the 3x3 rubik's cube. It was very interesting. I also have the 4x4 and 5x5 cubes, but haven't figured those out yet.
I can solve the Rubik's cube in about two minutes by prying the block pieces out and putting them back in where they belong. :)

I haven't seen a Rubik's cube in 25 years when I was a kid in the early 80's...

i am thinking about maybe a 4x4x4 cube but there is nowhere around here that would have them and i just didn't feel like ordering one off the internet.
call me a cheese ball if you want but i have been waiting for that opportune moment when i am at someones house who has a cube but can't solve it, so i can be the hero and step in. lol
Heh - My younger sister bought a couple of them when they first hit the toy stores and gave one to me. I went into the kitchen to grab a beer and sat down to work on it. She came in five minutes later with it solved!Quote:
