I just got an e-mail regarding a razor I've got listed for sale.

Definitely sounds fishy.
They will send someone from who knows which state to your house to pick up a razor to save 3-4 dollar shipping, for me the math does not add up.

Yes it is a scam!
The is done with products for sale, house's or apt for rent all with the same premise.

You sell an item to person X they have it picked up by person Y and give you a money order or "certified" check they take the product and when you go to the bank you find out a few days later that the check or MO is no good.

Sometimes it is from someone saying they are in school overseas or working overseas temporarily and dont want to miss out on the sale, hence the third party.

If they want to buy CASH only

See this all the time selling on Craigslist, in the next email they will want personal info. Not much different than the Solicitor from Nigeria you find in your email spam.

I had the same thing trying to sell an electric guitar a while back.

I even showed them that with the shipping involved they're be cheaper off buying a NEW one (I even found them one in a local (for them) store.). When they said they couldn't/wouldn't I just told them to bugger off. I figured that with the mangled english something fishy was going on anyway.
