seriously.. i don't have hebrew keyboard.. anyone else have problems with these things?
I even have problem with the non Hebrew stuff hehehehe.
Yea, I can't read them at all. Hewbrew? Your visiting the wrong sites dude!
seriously.. this was the 5th captcha that had some crazy foreign character.. i had spent about 12 minutes of trying everything i could and getting denied.. i finally started laughing in hysterics.. i figured it was either that or pull my hair out.
You can change your keyboard layout in windows, although you may have to add support for the language as well for the characters to show up.
These are a real PITA. Even with my glasses on, I still have a hell of a time reading them
I hate the ones where they slant & swirl the text to make it almost unreadable! Even if they stick to English, some of them are nonsense words to begin with. Really overkill, there.
:overkill:
At least they leave it to your imagination to try and figure out what a 'tabledsi' is :roflmao
LMAO I thought it was just me. Ive started using the speaker function where they tell me the letters.
i always hit the next button till i get one i can type.. but for some reason this one kept throwing hebrew at me.. if it wasn't hebrew it was offering something that looked like thai.. i was almost to the point of giving up when it gave me a the option of typing "partig"
Ditto on hitting the next button. eventually I end up with the combo of cat-dog or something else I can actually decipher.
Click on the Audio option.. I had that happen once where it kept spewing Kanji or Arabic characters at me so I hit the audio option and was able to bypass it since those use primarily number or letter sequences.
Interesting thing about the "reCaptcha"s. It's another interesting thing Google is doing. The first word is the word to check to see if you are a robot or not. The second word is used to help transcribe scanned books. Computers scan them and use character recognition to convert the images to text, but words it has trouble with ends up in reCaptcha for people to read and type for them.
This also means you can type anything you want in place of the second word. You can type "balloons", and possibly, somewhere, some random article is going to read much more interestingly.
