Now for the funny angle:
My neighbors down the street spent much of the afternoon cleaning their driveways and the gutter and streets in front of their property.
I didn't get around to that, due to the time needed for emptying my basement. An hour or so, in a rare display of civic duty, the county workers came and thoroughly cleaned the street :) I sure was glad I hadn't spent the time yet to do so myself.
