Alright ! Whom among us here are superstitious ? Today is Friday the 13th and being that today is connected with bad luck I was wondering if any one of you gentlemen or perhaps a brother knows why today is considered bad luck?

This explains things rather well:Friday the 13th - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Well, I can tell you why it's good luck. My wife and I consider today a good day. We were married on the 13th (albeit not on a Friday).
I know what the Wiki says. I should of specified NO cheating ! Lol
I was instructed that it was the day and date the Knights Templar were slaughtered. Just wondering what everyone's individual thought process as to why it's unlucky was.
well to me its just another day, its a friday so of course its good because a friday in january means the next morning is rabbit hunting time.
I'm not superstitious. It brings back luck...
so tru chris just got to remember before i pack my gear up tonight and touch my gun to throw some salt over my left. no wait my right. ok throw some salt over both sides just to be safe lol.
Monday the 16th s looking like a much more treacherous day for me. Snow and ice last night and I have to drive out and back to Rainier Oregon (about 200 miles RT) to get my son this morning. I really should consider investing in some studded tires. It shows so rarely out here at the beach I never think I need 'em. But I always wish had 'em for these days.
Edit: Gotta love the internets. I got my route picked out now. Both WA and OR have road conditions and traffic cameras so I can see where the show's been cleared. Hell, The WA DOT even has a map that shows road surface temperatures. What did people do before the internet? I guess they just put studded tires on their car and lived with it.
Lol STAYED Home and made more sons!!
I think they now have studded tires on demand, so long as your vehicle has the equipment to handle it.
You're so right about the internet. I usually check traffic before driving home from work. Good luck with your drive.
I too was having problems with Monday the 16th. I woke up plenty early shaved and did the morning routine to a tea. But when it came time to dress and go to work, I just wasn't feeling it. I'm not sick, just not ready to go back yet, so I called them up and told them I got a hold of some bad shrimp and that I'd see them tomorrow. No big plans for my Ferris Bueller day I just really didn't feel like going to work.
Off today for MLK Day. I love the concept of a Monday off! Now if we could just think of someone to honor EVERY Monday...
I have a case of the brown bottle flu today.
I'm retired, kind of takes the zip out of calling in sick!!
By the way, reference Friday the 13th. There are 3 in 2012, and they fall exactly 13 weeks apart!!

Howard
