Where do you Stand?

This is a fun little test – talking politics is never a good idea - so I am not promoting that!!! Like I said, it's just a fun little "test."

Its 6 pages of questions that will tell you where you stand on the political spectrum. It'll take at least ten minutes so be aware. After you take the test, have a look on the left - there are links that will tell you where you stand in relation to other “leaders” and the like.

I had to take it for a project I am working on (pair-up the least likely... sigh). I have to admit; I was shocked where I landed!

I figured I'd be somewhere in that lower right quadrant.

I have some serious reservations regarding these questions. For example:

How do I answer this? Do I take the supposition that corporations cannot be trusted to be true, and then answer the conclusion regarding regulation? Or, do I answer based upon whether I agree or not that corporations cannot be trusted?

More to the point, how do the testers know which of these questions a participant is answering?

In any event, I ended up a Ghandi, but I have some misgivings about the test overall.

It also puts me in Gandhi territory.

Placed me where I would have predicted.

James – I have serious reservations when it comes to any “standardized” tests lol. Thank you for taking it and sharing though!

Just so you know, I took it, and landed on the bottom left as well. Me?! Gandhi!? Bahahahaha! I just had a Law Prof and a Public Defender (ADA) take the test because I was a bit concerned – Over half their time was arguing about the validity of the questions and I am positive the Prof’s blood pressure jumped 10 points because of the questions bias alone lol!!

Anyway, they too landed bottom left (after a lot of complaining lol). That was more than a shock. It seems as though to me at least, that anyone who treats the questions with the respect they deserve becomes a Gandhi lol.

That all said, the questions though poorly worded, are issues that I think should be discussed within the “American” household - but I am not sure that the “outcomes” registered by the test are accurate and hence, I too “have some misgivings about the test overall.” But boy was it fun to see those two attorneys debate the questions lol!!

I too, had a problem with some of the questions. For example, the quote, "An eye for an eye..." if you read it in context, in the Bible means teh punishment should fit, not exceed the crime. Most people see it as advocating vengeance. So, how should I interpret it? Still, It was fun and placed me where I thought it would, in the middle of the left.
