This is the latest I have of myself from I think March of this year..
Avid saltwater fisherman and got a nice SeaBass to make my mug look a bit better in photos.
We should start a shoe thread. I just bought a pair of these after discovering my old black shoes had fallen apart in the 2 years since I last wore them.

I am not usually such a waster of lots of money on shoes, but see what happened was I walked into this Italian shoe shop in Brisbane, found a pair of lovely shoes, asked to try them on and as the sales lady was away checked the soles and saw the price tag: $1600.... I tried them on, said they were not for me, and left in a hurry. So you see, $475 is not a lot to pay for a good quality pair of handmade Aussie shoes....
Yeah, wife didn't buy it either, but too late now....lol
James.
Well personally I think RMs are overpriced, but I have several pairs now so clearly I mustn't care about the price...lol!
In fact, I still have the boots I had when I started boarding school back in 1987 - they've been resoled several times but are still going strong. Perhaps that is why I keep buying RMs - $500 is not a lot of money on a per year basis if they are going to last you 25 years.
James.
They don't last that long when you're out in the bush working in them James. I know that from personal experience. They were originally made for the man on the land, but todays prices tell me that they are now just an up-market item for the fashion concious or rich-land owner. Thomas cook and Redback have served me better in the footwear arena. That and my pair of thongs/flip flops/jandels or whatever the hell you want to call them...:)
