Employed
Crikey, it happened fast.
Two interviews in two days, short list of 8, then down to 3 and I got the gold medal.
Start in 1 weeks time. :y
I would like to thank you all for your kind words of encouragement, support and your generosity. You guys all ROCK.
Sincerely yours.

Friggin' awesome, Gary. Can't keep a good man down, eh? Lovely to hear, but don't let it take up all your razor time. :D Man's gotta have priorities!
-
Great news! And congatulations! So get rested and get ready!

WTG Gary :tu On a sad note, you won't have the time to work on those project pieces that came from the kind mysterious stranger with the initials B.E.
-
Gary, that's fantastic! One more thing us in the states can be thankful for on this day.
-
Congratulations! :y
I wouldn't even really call that a "layoff". That was more like an unplanned 2 week vacation! I am glad the unemployment worry is gone from your life now.
Cheers to you. :tu

Well done, you certainly didn't waste any time!
Does this mean that you'll want to buy back all the razors you just sold? :)

Gary

And not too safe... You're raising up all of that exotic wood dust
-
Now that NZ realises that they can't keep a good man down you're safe until YOU want to retire.
Good on ya mate:D
-
Well this IS amazing. Congratulations m'man (that sounds bad). Just don't take too much time from your resto projects or well get upset. :D

-
very nice, well done mate hope everything goes really well for you, getting a new job seems to give everyone a boost of enthusiasm (spelling?)
-
Man a big weight lifted off my shoulders when I read this thread. I am sure I will be able to enjoy my day more now, I didnt realize how much Gary losing his job was making me feel like crap, until I read that he had gotten a new one. Congratulations Gary!!!
Oh BTW, Bill called, he wants his razors back ";"
-
Congrats! To counterbalance Karma you must now convert all the men in your new firm to the 'straight' path. :D
-
Outstanding. I am very happy for you. I hope you find your new job very enjoyable.. Or as enjoyable as work can be..:roflmao
-
Brilliant news, Gary. Couldn't have happened to a better bloke.
-
Glad to hear that you are going back
to work.

Good on you, Gary! Now give yourself a couple of days to settle into the new job before you get back to the more important razor projects.

Great news - hope you still have time to make some scales for us!
Congrats!
-
Great news, Gary! Good luck with the new gig. :)

-
I certainly hope this job lasts until you no longer want it. And... it was my pleasure to give you the tiny uplift by parting with a couple rotten ass razors... :D
-
Well, what a great feeling. People I have never met wishing me luck etc...
This is one cool place. I am humbled by all of the posts.
I have another week before I start so plenty of scale making time.
Bill, yeah most of those blades you sent were absolutely unsalvageable, why you weighed down that package with ballast beats me...:w
Thanks all.

Hey buddy congratulations! That's fantastic right before the holidays. Usually companies don't hire around this time of year. :tu Very happy for you and yours.
Oh crap that means razor production and sales will be down in Hobbit land. And competition for purchasing will be up. Well my wife will be happy seeing less NZ packages or anywhere else for that matter.

Gary,
I'm confident that you will work miracles
with that box of junk.
