You ever seen a Death adder. They need a name like that to make them sound tough. They're short and fat and obviously have issues with it. :D


Now another place I went to that had some kill ya ded type of critters was here...

This picture jogged something in my memory and I remembered this. This is 1.5 miles North of my house and about 2 miles West. I crossed the line 4 times today. Notice the ugly snow. This is my least favorite time of the year . As the snow melts everything is muddy and there is nothing uglier than a dirty snow bank.

I reread my last post and realized I probably crossed the 45th parallel over 15 times today trying to get a readable picture with the sun shining on the rock or my screen while trying to take a picture!:rofl2:

We are nearing the end of one of the driest summers on record.
Half the country has been declared a drought zone.
This measuring pole (not even in the water) is above the weir that collects water for our city & outlying areas.

On the way to work this morning, at around 0740, the sun was orange and low on the horizon, shining though the fog settled in a paddock. The sheep seemed unaware of the incredibly beautiful sight, yet I was ecstatic.

I should say as I drove away from taking the photo (a crappy phone pic) I noticed a contrail from a plane in the sky, and wondered if it were actually from a North Korean nuke headed our way (to Pine Gap, maybe). I said a little prayer...

Excellent! I used to trade in cameras and have had a few twin lens relexes, mainly mamiya. I still have my RB67 - lovely camera - Agfa Super Ikonta, Agfa and Zeiss 6x6's and a three or so Voigtlander Bessas - one very old but as pristine as the day it was made, and two later Bessa IIs - superb cameras. I got into developing and printing in a big way - mixing my own developers and then developing large format film in PMK, Amidol and ABC Pyro under safe-light inspection and printing on Kodak Azo paper and papers that I had sensitized myself. This soon gave way to printing 5" x 7" and 10" x 8" negatives from an old Gandolfi and a Kodak Field camera in printing frames in sunlight. Cyanotypes, Van Dykes, Ambrotypes, etc, etc, etc all followed. My, it was such fun. Sadly, I haven't been in my darkroom for 10 years or more now.
