I had a fully paid up Norton system some 6 years ago. I awoke one morning and started my tower (windows XP) to find a pop up telling me my Norton security was disabled. I tried to enable it but nothing happening. Went to microsoft/windows system restore and that was disabled too. I ended up wiping the hard disc completely and installed fedora 5. This laptop is my first foray into windows since then and only because it came with it. The norton has been good this past year but previous experience shows me that it can be compromised.
Jimmy, seriously take a look at eset. Google them, stellar reputation despite nit being a big name. They're just really really on top of their game.
